FROM
THE PRESIDENT
|
| Dear
Members, Effective April 1, 2009, there will no longer be an automatic gratuity
placed on restaurant or bar bills. This also includes buffet nights and
take-out orders. This change is being imposed as a direct response from
membership suggestions over the last few years. I know our members will
continue to reward the service staff, as they do rely upon our gratuities.
It is my hope that this change will have a positive impact on the overall
service at our club and will result in a rewarding experience for the membership
and our employees. As always, if you have any comments or concerns please
feel free to contact me. Sincerely, Kevin Ross President |

From
the Membership Director
|
| In our recruitment efforts for new membership we ran an ad in 3 consecutive issues of the Central Record and many members reported seeing it. We received a total of 20 phone calls resulting from the Ads, requesting information, and we are actively pursuing a number for membership. On another topic, the 2009-2010 Membership Directory is currently at the Printer and will be mailed to you as soon as available. Finally, please remember - You get $500 for bringing in a new golfing member, Husband and Wife, Senior Man or Woman. - If you bring in a new Golf Outing you will earn 5% of the gross. Both incentives are worth the extra effort. Please call Jim Jenkins for the details or any questions at 609 654 6358. |

Easter
Brunch was again a huge success. I want to thank Valeen and the kitchen
staff for a great job. Tina and the serving staff did a fantastic job
taking care of our members and families. Thanks to House Committee members
who managed the six Easter egg hunts: Sis & Chuck Haller, Marilyn Hardwick,
Betty Reis, Carmen Paradise, and Robin Harker. The House Committee has
again formed a facilities/house team chaired by Bill Klein, along with
Terry Harmon, Sis Haller, Marilyn Hardwick, and Betty Reis. They will
on a quarterly schedule be going through the club facilities making suggestions
to Conrad for club maintenance and care. The first walk through was April
14th. Each team member invited two additional club members to provide
input and an opportunity for the House Committee to involve more of the
membership. If you have suggestions in regard to our club house facilities
please contact Bill Klein, Conrad, or one of our team members. If you
have any questions or suggestions for the house committee please call
Conrad or Chuck Harker - 609-268-7276.

MLCC Ireland Trip
Coming soon to the website are the pictures of our October Ireland trip.
The weather this year in Ireland did not disappoint. Temperatures in the
60's and plenty of sunshine. The rainwear did not even make an appearance.
Who says it rains overseas? In 2 trips I still haven't seen it. The golf
courses were fantastic, the sightseeing was spectacular, and the bus rides
were wildly entertaining. |
